Whispering Palms Inn

Room was fine. Could have used a coffee pot & coffee, but I understand why motels don't. Nice that some finger food & coffee was available during most hours. Owner & employees are super nice! Room was pretty quiet considering the proximity to a main street.

The staff here is tremendous. We had a slight issue when we checked into the room, and they fixed it immediately by moving us to another room. The hotel itself has been nicely updated on the exterior, including some unexpectedly modern colors. The room itself was fine, although the Direct TV had been disconnected. Once I found the end of the cable, it was easy to fix. Shower was good, bed was comfortable, breakfast was the expected cereal/packaged pastries/apples/bananas and do-it-yourself, Texas-shaped waffles. Pool was a bit cool, but it is early in the summer.

Great welcome from the owners who were friendly and couldn’t do more for their guests. The location is fine although a bit of a walk downtown. However, parking was not a problem downtown.

The stuffs were very friendly. The room was clean and they clean every day. ( Most of hotels won't clean each day anymore.) The building is old, but they clean really good.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The electronic lock on one of our rooms had a problem, but the woman from the desk came up immediately to replace the battery. Room amenities were above average for a motel in this price range.
